Pictured above: A brake system uses a Series 300 valve in Nylon with Buna-N o-rings. Nylon performs well up to 250°F and works well with air/gasses. Another brake system involved torqueing and required a strong plastic with high-heat resistance. This system uses Ultem®, which proved to be the best plastic choice for this application.
Depending on your line’s size and project requirements, we can help you select the ideal check / pressure relief valve for your needs. The above examples required 1/2” tubing sizes, which we offer in our Series 300 Modular Valves or an in-line option with Model #140 in our Series 100 Standard Cartridge Valves. We’ve also worked with other sizes for brake systems to include the Model #132 at 3/8”, which features two external side seal o-rings.
