Once Again, PVDF/Kynar is Kinda Hard to Find

The global shortage of PVDF (Kynar) has affected many companies as they manufacture products today and plan for 2023 and beyond.

The demand for roof coatings and lithium-Ion batteries, coupled with the already growing chemical resistance market, has made the demand for resin skyrocket globally. The manufacturers of the resin have most, if not all of their customers, on allocation for it – making the supply chain dry up instantly.

As of the date of this eBlast, we have found no new source of PVDF, and we are currently burning through our existing inventory at a fast pace. That supply will run out some time in 2023.

For our existing customers, if you have not done so already, please contact your Product Application Specialist to discuss alternative materials for your application. We are monitoring availability of PVDF daily and will certainly make everyone aware, if and when, we can source it again.
