How do our foot / filtering valves work?

At Smart Products USA, we offer the Model #315 as a foot / filtering solution. The #315 can be dipped into a tank or any type of atmosphere to prevent larger particles such as leaves, rocks, sticks, etc. from interfering with a line. As part of our Series 300 Modular Check / Pressure Relief valves, the #315 can be paired with your choice of 13+ end fitting options.

The #315 is typically used as an inlet with an internal Model #150 or Model #160 cartridge valve, as well as your choice of a variety of barbed or NPT outlets. The #315 can also be used as an outlet, but we most commonly see it used as an inlet.

As with all our valves, customers build their own custom version. We offer the #315 in five plastic body materials – Polypropylene, Nylon, PVDF, Ultem®, and ABS, as well as seven o-ring materials – Buna-N, EPDM, Viton®, Silicone, Fluorosilicone, Aflas, and Kalrez®. Opening pressures range from 0.11 to 20 PSI. These options allow Model #315 to work well with a variety of liquids and/or gasses for any industry. The #315 is especially popular with the Water Treatment and Pool & Spa markets.
